In an article published with Lawfare on 10 May, Sandy Alkoutami and Frederic Wehrey of the Carnegie Endowment give an extensive analysis of China’s strategy towards Libya since the collapse of the Gaddafi regime. Wehrey and Alkoutami point out that while committing to its nonalignement policy, Pekin has still shown its capacity to adapt to Libya’s evolving political and security situation.
