On 19 March, Middle East Eye published an overview of the report published by a panel of UN experts investigating mercenary activities and bribery allegations in Libya. The existence of the report was made public through a series of leaks to the international media mid-February. Mercenary presence in Libya remains a central issue for Libya's new transitional body, the Governement of National Unity (GNU).
