On 25 April, The Telegraph published founder of Libya-Analysis Jason Pack’s latest article, entitled ‘Sudan proves that the only thing worse than Western meddling is Western absence’, in which he examines the recent developments in Sudan and how they relate to Western meddling, or lack thereof. He criticises Washington for failing to intervene to restore order or quell disruptive actors over the last decade, arguing that the recent developments and ‘sorry trajectories’ of countries like Sudan, Libya, Yemen and others in the region are a result of the ‘lack of a unified approach by the West and its regional allies to peace-building and reconstruction’.
