Strong lobby influenced US position on Libya

A Wall Street Journal article published on 12 May reported that the United States were influenced by Saudi Arabia and Egypt on the matter of the crisis in Libya, and this lobby led to the conversation between US President Trump and Eastern Libyan General Khalifa Haftar in which the US President seemed to endorse Haftar’s action plan and offensive on Tripoli.
