On 21 February, Declan Walsh of the The New York Times revealed in an article the publication by the UN of a report incriminating Erik Prince, former head of the Blackwater private military company, of his violations of the UN arms embargo on Libya as a result of his activities in the spring of 2019. It has been documented that Prince has deployed a team of mercenaries, weapons and aircrafts to support General Haftar’s campaign to overtake Tripoli in April 2019.
