On 21 July, Ferhat Polat published an article with Anadolu Agency, discussing the European Union’s policy towards Libya, or lack thereof. For Polat, the EU has thus far failed to propose relevant strategies to address the crisis in Libya and has proved unable to speak with a united voice. In the contrary, the Libyan crisis has at times heightened tensions between European Union state members, pursuing rival interests in Libya.
