On 20 September, militia clashes renewed in Tripoli, resulting in 10 additional fatalities. The Government of National Accord (GNA) Ministry of Health reported a total of 115 fatalities since the beginning of the clashes in late August. As tensions persist, there are growing unconfirmed reports that groups involved with terrorist organisation such as Al Qaeda are also involved in the confrontations. Pro-GNA brigades claimed that fighters of the Benghazi Shura Revolutionary Council (BSRC) have been seen on the outskirts of Tripoli. Meanwhile, Eastern-Libyan based General Haftar denied the involvement of any Libyan National Army (LNA) forces in the clashes. However, Haftar threatened once again to intervene with the LNA to restore calm in Tripoli if the security vacuum persisted.
