On 17 February, at the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Libyann uprising against Muammar Gaddafi, France 24 hosted a discussion on the consequences of the uprising and perspectives for Libya’s future. The debate gathered experts and analysts following the Libya file, among which Jalel Harchaoui, Senior Fellow, Global Initiative, Anas El-Gomati, Director, Sadeq Institute, Catherine Norris-Trent, Senior reporter, FRANCE 24 and Mohamed Eljarh, Co-founder, Libya Outlook for Research and Consulting. Participants of the debate considered the complexity of the past decade for Libya, marked by persisting security and political tensions as well as international interferences. The discussion also evoked that the anniversary of the uprising comes at another pivotal moment for Libya, in which a new political body has been elected to guide the country towards election in a climate of prevailing uncertainty.Click here to watch the recording.
