MSF reports on EU migration policies in the Central Mediterranean

On 21 November, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) published a report titled ‘The new normal of EU migration policies in the Central Mediterranean’. In its report, the international medical humanitarian organization documents ‘how European states have knowingly put people’s lives at risk by delaying or failing to coordinate rescues and facilitating forced returns’. Based on survivor accounts from the Central Mediterranean, the report also details ‘the extreme levels of violence experienced at multiple points along the migration route’.
