Turkey and Russia to shape Libya's future?

In an article published in 27 May, Courrier International examines the complex interactions between Russia and Turkey in Libyan affairs. Since late 2019, the two powers have become major foreign backers to Libya’s rival factions and been competing for rival interests, giving a proxy-war dimension to Libya’s internal divisions. According to analysts, Courrier International reports, it seems however that following the defeat of Khalifa Haftar against forces aligned to the Government of National Accord (GNA), Moscow and Ankara have reached a tacit agreement to not engage in a direct confrontation on Libyan ground.
