Why the U.S should engage more with Libya

On 19 October, James Carafano and Joshua Meservey published an article advocating for a stronger involvement of the United-States in the Libyan conflict on The Hill. James Carafano is vice president of the Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy at the Heritage Foundation, where Joshua Meservey is a senior policy analyst specializing in Africa and the Middle East. According to the two authors, only the U.S could have enough influence to pressure all Libyan players to reach an agreement on the way forward for Libya.
